Why I Started Dolly Wally: My Own Hair Story
A few years ago, I got really sick. Sick enough that I lost about sixty percent of my hair. I had to cut ten inches off just to deal with the damage. What came next was almost harder than losing it in the first place: I was trying to grow it back, but the ends kept getting so dry and damaged that I had to keep cutting it every few weeks just to keep it manageable.
My partner, a plastic surgeon with real expertise in hair and skin, suggested I try a specific natural ingredient, one that is not typically used in hair care, or used only sparingly when it is. I applied it to my ends a few days a week. It worked from the first application, and I kept doing it as part of my routine. I went ten months without a single trim. My hair grew all the way back to its original length.
I am not sharing that as medical advice, it is simply what happened for me, from someone I trust. But it convinced me there was not a product on the market built around that approach, combined with the Texas Hill Country botanicals I already believed in, prickly pear included.
